Pumpkin Carv'n Fun

Aunt Emm and Aunt Kell with the finished product.

Ew, stinky pumpkin guts. Jake wouldn't even touch them

Yay, Aunt Emm saved Halloween and brought us a pumpkin to carve! Jake tried to carve this one himself when we weren't paying attention. He was being so careful, but there is something I don't trust about my wild three year old and a sharp knife. It all turned out okay, Jake still has two hands and ten fingers, I think.

Party!

Our stinky pirate

Jake and Mcrae

Our ward put on one of the funest Halloween parties! Jake was paticularly loving the mad scientist lab.

Salmon Marathon

we cheered Kell along the way with inspiring posters

Jake's poster was the cutest!

Salmon River Jake ran along side Kell, it was the cutest thing ever!
A couple of months ago, we went up to Salmon, Idaho with Aunt Kell and Aunt Emm. We went to cheer on Aunt Kell. She did amazing! She'll soon be running in the Boston Marathon. Jake thinks she is a super hero, we are so proud of our Aunt Tell!

Barnyard Boo

We went to Thanksgiving Point with Gabi and Laura for some Halloween fun. The kids played some fun games and got prizes. Jake loved the balloon clown. She made him a pirate hat, sword and even a parrot. Yes, pirates are an ongoing obsession at our house. Guess what Jake's going to be for Halloween!

Mondays with Gabi Goo

Our sweet Gabi comes and plays once a week with us. Jake and Gabi have so much fun playing and fighting together. They make up silly games, paint things and we go to the park and other places together. We even made it down to the Halloween store at the mall to try on some silly hats. We love having our Gabi Goo come to play!

Day out with Grandad

Grandad, Jake and I decided to go up to the mountains and see the fall leaves. I was a little hesitant when grandad wanted to go up towards Tooele. I thought it was just tumble weeds and dirt out that way. We drove up a couple of side roads found some Brigham tea and a great discovery. The little town of Ophir. It is a small mining town and has a lot of residents still today. It was one small street with some of the neatest homes lined up and down and a lot of the town mining history also. We had a lot of fun discovering the little town of Ophir and being with our Grandad!

Jake's big word!

The other day Jake was telling Brent and I about something. I can't even remember what it was. But it was something big. He said in his very animated tone, "it was GARGANTUAN!" Brent and I couldn't believe it. Such a big word came out of our tiny guy. Jake been learning so much lately. It makes me wonder how these kids heads don't explode! This is Jake at saying his ABC's. Can you beleive it, my three year old is trying to be five.
