Christmas Partying

We had a cleaning party up at the home we soon hope to be in. A lot of family came to help. The Tooele crew got stuck because of bad weather threats. Thanks everyone for your help and support. We love you all!

Today Jake had a cute singing program at his school. He did so amazing, held still and all. Grandma and Grandad came to watch, we were so proud of him! This is his sweet teacher Mrs. Harmon who he loves so much!

Jake waited so patiently at our ward Christmas party to see Santa. It's so amazing how the excitement of Christmas is when you have a little one!

Jakes Christmas poses

This kid couldn't be any more excited for Christmas. He has been wearing my long Christmas toe socks and a Santa hat around and singing his favorite Christmas songs, Jingle Bells and Rudolph. I told him that he was looking dang cute and we should take some pictures of him. "Good idea," he says striking many poses.

Christmas Lights!

Last night, Dad actually showed up and said, "Let's go out and do something." Of course we had to jump on that opportunity. We went up to Thanksgiving Point and saw their Christmas lights. Good thing we had our membership because it was half the price and I wasn't about to spend seven bucks for three minutes. Jake loved it and was hanging out the window
of the car the whole time yelling. This kid loves Christmas, and anything to do with it. He, by choice, now wears his Santa hat everywhere. They also had Santa's reindeer up at Thanksgiving Point that we got to see. That was pretty cool. We had such a fun night together, it was a good break from all the stress!

Turkey and Thankful for a Whole Lot Day!

What did we do for Thanksgiving?

Brent worked on the house. (shocker)

Family hugging time.

I attempted to bake my first turkey,

Jake and I made some other turkeys that might have just turned out a little better than the real one.

Ate, and we ate some more!

This was the very first Thankgiving we did alone. We did have plenty of invites from amazing freinds, family and even some strangers. (Thanks everyone!) But we decided to fallow Brent's dream Thanksgiving; work, eat and sleep. I realy don't think he wanted to share the leftovers is my guess.

What am I thankful for?

After being so inspired by my sweet sister-in-law last blog post, I wanted to list just a few of the many things that I am so blessed with in my life. No much has happened this year. But the things that have mattered most and realizing it, have happened. Funny how that works.

  1. my amazing husband (that's a given)
  2. my sweet son and the things he has taught me
  3. our baby girl soon to come
  4. a home to clean (this means I feel good enough to do so, and I have a home)
  5. trials (this year has been packed, but I have learned amazing things and have grown closer to my Heavenly Father and family. Now that I wouldn't trade for any trial less!)
  6. my mom and dad
  7. my family
  8. incredible in laws
  9. Brent's job
  10. food, and how easily available it is to us
  11. to know of the true gospel and to have it in my life!

Like I said, just a few of the things!

Our Family Date Night

Jake was very into the show, he didn't even move much. (So was Dad)

Mulan

The star of the show, Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Waiting for the show to start
We had such a blast on our family night out. We haven't seen much of each other, so it was fun just to be together. Jake and I had been looking forward to going to Disney on ice for a couple of months. Dad even said it was okay. We had dinner at JCW's and went to the "big city" (as Jake would call it) to see Disney on Ice. They had most of the Disney characters in the show, so Jake got to see all his favorites; Incredible, Aladdin, and Buzz and Woody. His eyes were lit up threw the entire thing. I love to see him so happy. Also another highlight of the night, we drove threw downtown to see all the big buildings. Jake and B especially appreciated the big cranes being used for downtown construction.

Halloween

Gandad's funky Halloween socks
Jake kept hiding in the outhouse at Gardner Village
Pregnant Witch, kind of ironic huh?

Jake, strung out on candy.

Dad and Jake going Trick or Treating

Jake and Gabi checking out the witches at Gardner Village

Halloween morning we met up with Grandad, Laura and Gabi to go on a witch hunt at Gardner Village. It was fun, but pretty crowded. We enjoyed it though and saw a lot of fun costumes. That evening, Brent and Jake went Trick 0r Treating while I made a scary meal of spaghetti and eyeballs and witches fingers. (any meal when I cook gets pretty scary) Mom and Dad came over and we so enjoyed having them. We had a way fun Halloween!
