Love you Uncle Jeff!

It always makes me feel better when I can write down and share with others what a great man that will be missed! My Uncle Jeff passed away yesterday morning. Not all families are like mine or alike at all for that matter. My family is very huggy, and all had a hand in raising everyone kids. I learned so much from my Uncle Jeff and Aunt Jerry. I am so grateful that my life was blessed with him in it. I will miss so much, listening to him and Dad visit and tell stories, my Mom giggling at him and his emails, BYU games with him, of course the ice cream at the creamery afterwards, I can't forget ever the hugs that make every ounce of you feel loved (even as a teenager when you feel nobody does because your so dang mean). I never have seen any adult man enjoy every second of life quite like Uncle Jeff did. Here's to you Uncle Jeff! Dad and I will go and eat at the creamery in memory of you, and think of all the fun we had at BYU game we see!

Eva Ardell Stoddard

She is here, Our Eva Ardell!

Our nurse, grandmas freind, Grandma Black and us.

Big Brother, Jake

The team, Dad, Mom, Dr. Smith

On the way out the door, bye, bye tummy.

Now that I've made everybody wait so long for pictures, here's the scoop . . . .

January 28, Wednesday morning my water broke. We met Grandad with Jake and headed over to the hospital around 9:00 (thanks Grandad for saving us always!) Sure enough the nurses confirmed my water had broke and Eva was on her way. We got the best room in the house. You could see Grandma's work and the Timpanogos Temple. We could watch as Grandma ran back and forth from work. It was a quick and easy delivery (mom was very happy for that). She was born at 1:59 in the afternoon. Weighing in at 7lbs 9 oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Three inched of long beautiful hair, and a nose and cheeks just like big brothers. We had such a wonderful experience and are so thankful to be so blessed with two amazing and healthy kids. Jake is so excited and already has fully taken on big brother responsibilities. Thank you to everyone who helped out, bringing meals, awesome gifts, and special thanks to my Sammy, one of my best buddies, who took care of us so good in the hospital!

I thought everyone should know the real reason for the hold up on my post. Dad wasn't quite so sure on her name. I wanted him to have the last call, so I waited. He came in the other night and said, " Jake and I decided." He started talking to her and calling her by her name. She smiled from ear to ear for the first time. I have never seen a newborn smile that big. It was such a sweet moment and one I'll never forget. She has one amazing Daddy!

Showered with Love!

Wow, I cannot believe how spoiled this baby is. My sweet sisters, friends from the ward, and young women all did a baby shower for us. It was so much fun just to even get together with everyone! Thank you so much for the awesome gifts. This baby will be very warm and not to mention styling with all her accessories! Love to all my amazing friends and family!

A plead for prayers!

My sweetest Uncle Jeff was diagnosed with Leukemia just recently and has took turns for the worst. I just wanted to list my appreciation for him and ask everyone to keep him and his family in your prayers.

A few things I love about my Uncle Jeff
  • waking up early game day Saturday mornings with Uncle Jeff already there, ready for the game. Singing "rise and shout the cougars are out!"
  • going to the games with Dad and Uncle Jeff . My favorite was to sit between them, although it seemed that the games did get more tense sometimes. You could feed of the excitement!
  • watching Dad and Uncle Jeff eat popcorn. This was an event all by itself at the game.
  • ice cream after the game at the creamery. Uncle Jeff enjoyed every bite always of his ice cream. ( that's how you enjoy a bowl of ice cream)
  • he always is genuinely interested about everyone.
  • always has a great story to tell.
  • The best is the long tight hugs that sometimes you don't think you can breath. But as soon as he lets go, you want another hug.
  • His extreme patience for a teenager. We droved to Blanding with my drivers permit and Uncle Jeff and Dad visited and watched patiently as the six hour trip quickly turned into nine. I drove probably 45 mph with semi's passing me the whole way!
  • HIs yummy fudge recipie, and how he told me in detail over them phone how to make it (it probably still didn't turn out because I made it though)

I love you Uncle Jeff! With lot 's of loves and hugs.

The Move!

Okay, life is crazy. What more can I say. We finally decided we could move. We got into the new house the weekend after Christmas and are still waiting for everything to be finalized. Half of our house is still at the other house. Which includes much of what I need to have a baby. Which of course she'll be here soon. Even with all the craziness we are constantly reminded of how blessed we are. When one door closed another one has opened just in the nick of time. Thanks to all my family and our amazing neighbors, we are settled for now. Jake now is asking, "sister is coming now?" We had him set up for the timeline. Christmas, new house, sister. A lot of big things for a three year old, and he is so excited! I will post pictures of the move later, our computer is down for now.
